Battery storage
Assess when to charge and discharge, taking account of electricity prices, efficiency, capacity and operating limits.
↗SOLAR · WIND · BATTERY STORAGE
You have invested in energy assets. We help you understand when to store, use or sell electricity — and what a better operating strategy could mean for your business. Start with an analysis, then validate the approach through a pilot.

Generation, storage and on-site demand, brought together in one operating plan.
YOUR NEXT OPERATING DECISION
Owning the equipment is only the beginning. Deciding how to use it takes a clear view of tomorrow’s generation, electricity demand, prices and contract terms.
Without a clear plan, opportunities can be missed. We help you compare the options and understand the trade-offs before committing to an implementation.
BUILT AROUND YOUR SYSTEM
Whether you operate an existing installation or are considering an investment, the starting point is your equipment, electricity arrangements and business goals.
Assess when to charge and discharge, taking account of electricity prices, efficiency, capacity and operating limits.
↗Plan how to use solar production, store energy for later and exchange electricity with the grid.
↗Explore wind farm integration and the use of generation forecasts to coordinate battery operation.
↗Assess a shared operating strategy for solar, wind, storage and on-site demand, within the limits of your grid connection.
↗For factories and commercial sites, the value of energy also depends on when it is needed. We include expected consumption and your purchase and export terms in the assessment.
Installers and system integrators can work with us to add forecasting, analysis and optimization to their projects. Together, we define the interfaces, responsibilities and pilot scope.
YOUR PATH FROM ANALYSIS TO OPERATION
See where additional value could come from.
We review the available data and compare your current or agreed baseline with alternative operating strategies.
What you receive A report explaining the estimated benefit, assumptions, limitations and recommended next steps.
Test the approach before a wider rollout.
Together, we agree the assets, duration and success criteria, then evaluate performance within that scope.
What you receive A pilot review that helps you decide whether and how to proceed.
Put the agreed solution to work.
We configure the selected functions, integrate compatible equipment and establish the operating workflow.
What you receive An integrated solution, agreed acceptance checks and practical operating guidance.
Keep the system working as your needs evolve.
The support agreement sets out monitoring, updates, issue handling and any included adjustments.
What you receive A defined support service and regular reviews within the agreed scope.
THE TECHNOLOGY BEHIND YOUR PLAN
A Virtual Power Plant (VPP) brings energy resources together through software. It provides a way to coordinate equipment at a single site or across several locations, according to the agreed project scope.
Estimate solar generation and on-site demand. Select appropriate wind forecast inputs where the project requires them.
Develop an operating schedule based on your objectives, electricity prices and equipment limits.
Deliver approved schedules to compatible equipment through the agreed control interfaces.
Track measurements, compare planned and actual operation, and review reports and alerts.

The central platform handles forecasting, optimization and reporting. Local controllers communicate with equipment and execute schedules. OpenEMS supports this integration approach; compatibility is reviewed for each installation.
Battery and solar-plus-battery optimization, on-site demand forecasting, and optimization that uses this demand forecast.
Wind farm and hybrid integration require a technical assessment, an agreed development scope and a pilot.
Software development and simulation do not establish field validation. We confirm the physical testing status for the configuration proposed for your project.
WIND FARMS & HYBRID PROJECTS
Combining solar, wind and battery storage creates more choices about when energy is used, stored or exported. We assess how those resources can work together and which integration steps your project needs.
For assets at separate locations, the VPP can support coordinated planning and monitoring. Forecast sources and equipment compatibility are confirmed during the technical assessment.
Request an initial assessment ↗A PRACTICAL STARTING POINT
Consider a solar installation with battery storage and on-site demand. The analysis compares operating strategies using the same input data, contract terms and equipment constraints.

Document how the system operates today, or agree a reference strategy for a planned installation.
Simulate a different schedule for storing energy, supplying on-site demand and exporting electricity.
Review purchase costs and export revenue, including losses and the agreed costs of battery operation.
The illustration shows the platform interface within a conceptual scene. It is not a measured comparison or a customer savings claim. A project analysis identifies its data period, assumptions and treatment of forecast uncertainty.
You receive an estimate of the additional value for your system — and an explanation of the decisions behind it.SEE HOW IT FITS TOGETHER

THE PERSON BEHIND THE SOLUTION
Intelligent Systems · AI applications in energy
My qualifications span informatics, software engineering and intelligent systems: a degree in Informatics, a master’s degree in Software Engineering, and a doctorate in Intelligent Systems, with a focus on AI applications in energy.
My research and development work covers short-term electrical load forecasting and software for energy management. For your project, that means connecting analytical methods with a solution that fits your equipment, data and operating needs.
BEFORE WE START
Yes. We can compare specified battery sizes and operating strategies using the available generation, consumption and price data. The analysis explains the assumptions and provides an estimate to support your decision.
Tell us where the installation is located, what equipment it includes, how electricity is purchased and exported, and which historical data is available. We will then agree a detailed data request.
We assess whether technical specifications, weather data and reference profiles can support an initial model. The analysis makes the uncertainty clear, and forecasts can be refined as site measurements become available.
There may be. Purchase tariffs, on-site consumption, export limits and battery operating costs can still affect the preferred strategy. The assessment uses your actual commercial arrangements.
Yes, through a project-specific assessment covering data interfaces, forecast inputs, connection constraints and a staged pilot. The scope of integration and control is agreed after the technical review.
That depends on the device models, available interfaces and supported control functions. Compatibility and acceptance checks are reviewed before implementation is agreed.
The agreement defines monitoring, software updates, support arrangements and included adjustments. Responsibilities, response arrangements and exclusions are specified in advance.
We discuss your objectives and the available data, then agree the scope and commercial terms for any analysis or pilot. Sending an enquiry does not commission paid work.
